| Wow...i am pretty bad at updating....my good friend Katie just updated and it reminded me that i need to do the same for some of you! so since April...a lot has happened. Most of you know that Chad and I bought a house in June. We moved in in August and since then, it has been a construction zone. My kitchen has been torn apart almost the entire time we've been there. The living room has had no flooring since we moved-in and the rest of the house slowly lost its flooring! We do have the woodflooring in our basement...so as soon as its time to put the flooring down, we are ready! I have to take a lot of wallpaper down...but that will happen when i get time. Chad and I are working on re-wiring the whole house...the reason we have to rewire is that we are still on a screw-in fuse box...that's right, we don't have a breaker box...so almost everything isn't grounded...not good. The good news...i have a dishwasher! actually, we received almost a whole new set of kitchen appliances for free from some very generous folks in columbus about a month or so ago. well, with our current electrical system, it didn't want to support the requirements of the dishwasher...so after some work with sears and some work that chad did, we finally got it working by running an extension cord through the hallway and sticking wires into the end of it to get it to work. Maybe someday our kitchen will be extension cord free! We also got a dog! if you've seen my facebook, you probably have seen miss greta. She was rescued from the pound as soon as we bought the house. last night, chad put a harness on her and made her pull him up and down the street on his skateboard...to say the least...she was exhausted! Well, thats it for now...got to get back to work! | | |
| So I am at work and I am pretty bored. Being a secretary kinda blows. It was fun when they were teaching me all the stuff, now, it's just boring. I sit at a desk in an office with another guy who is pretty funny when he keeps his mind out of the gutter(which is rare) well...he is funny even when he doesnt.So he keeps me sane for the most part. I have no windows so i cant see how beautiful it is outside...darn! anyway, chad and i were talking how nice it would be if i only worked part time. I do miss getting things done at home without stressing if i would have enough time. with house searching, working with the youth, and all the other things that go on, it doesn't leave much downtime. even our weekends are full so i cant really plan to do anything on those days! however, working part time means i will only get half the pay check. i dont think i;m ready for that. we'll just have to see where God leads us. i'm going to see my soon-to-be sister-in-law (coming in june...jamaica!!) this weekend for her shower. she doesnt know i am flying in with my mom...so i hope we surprise her! i cant wait to see her! i miss her so very much. i miss my whole family...especially my nephew who is going to be a year old in september. I havent seen him since christmas! anyway, i need to do some work...even though there isn't too much to do. i try to take my time so i wont be bored most of the day! | | |
| so we've changed our criteria for houses...no more lots of acreage...its just too expensive...even though we were pre-approved for a very large amount...we dont want to be paying on a house for the rest of our lives. tonight we get to go and look at a couple more...i hope we find the one! i am sick of living in our apt with its tiny kitchen and gross carpet! other than that...i have a job! woohoo! i'm just a secretary...but i guess you have to start somewhere. so thats where i'm starting. hopefully something else will come around for me! or some of my rich friends could just give me money...i wont stop any of you! | | |
| so i am getting pretty frustrated with this whole job thing. i am now applying for anything...including secretarial positions...i'm not too exciting about that, but at least it will be some income coming in. we need it since we are now looking to buy a house soon.
speaking of, we are trying to get in to see this house that is sitting on 20 acres. it was built in 1920 and it seems that the place needs a lot of work, but we'll have to wait to see it. there is also one that is on only 20 acres, but it has a newer horse barn with 6 stalls.(okay...i made a mistake...this one is only on 5 acres of which i said 20 again by accident....ooooops) i would like a lot more acreage...but i guess we'll have to start somewhere!
i also started selling arbonne. i'm really excited about it, but i know it will take a while before the business starts to take off.

| so i got into the box factory for seasonal work. and now its over. so i worked there a month, and that was it. lol. oh well, it was fun while it lasted (not really). now i am hoping to get another job soon so i can keep paying down my student loans. i just wish they would go away. i hate paying them. anyway, chad and i are trying to figure out if we want to drive 12 hours to rachel spitler's wedding or if we want to fly and pay double what we would to drive. my vote is drive honestly. i would rather save a bit of money here.
i hope it all works out and it will...just have to trust God will take care of our money issues and he will.
